The Kutztown University Department of Criminal Justice inducted 18 new members into the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society. Alpha Phi Sigma is the national criminal justice honor society. It was founded in 1942 at Washington State University and became affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS) in 1976. Today there are almost 300 Alpha Phi Sigma chapters around the country. KU's Kappa Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma was established in Spring 2008 with 13 founding members. To be eligible for membership, a student must be a criminal justice major or minor, have completed at least 40 credit hours, including at least four criminal justice courses, have an overall QPA of 3.2 or higher, and have a QPA in criminal justice courses of 3.2 or higher.

Lebanon Valley College welcomes nearly 50 students who will participate in the Peer Mentor Program and guide new and transfer students through their first few months at The Valley. Peer mentors are responsible for assisting new students in succeeding personally, socially, and academically through connections to the College and their peers.

Over 160 upperclassmen students were nominated by a member of the Stevenson university community because of both academic and service excellence. Who's Who Among Students is a highly prestigous honors program that is nationally recognized.
Stevenson University's photography department celebrated its fifth consecutive year participating in the study abroad program with 22 members that traveled to Eastern Europe. The students traveled to four different cities within 12 days: Budapest, Prague, Krakow, and Vienna.
Twelve students enrolled in Stevenson University's Marketing 336 class organized a fashion show with Boscov's department store. Boscov's is located in Westminster, Maryland and premiered the students' spring trends in a free fashion show.
Each October, Stevenson University sponsors the "Build Community Day" for all students. During the event, hundreds of students, faculty, and staff devote a full day to giving back to the community by contributing to hunger relief programs, economic development projects, and environmental sustainability establishments throughout the greater Baltimore region.
